Sponsor a Horse
Glory Meadows has a small core group of supporters that helped nurture the Secretariat Family Tree during the initial phase of Crown of Glory Racing by purchasing racing shares for the first two foal crops which went on to train as racehorses. After injuries sidelined the first two colts, followed by the death of our 2nd Secretariat grandson, Johnny Leroy, racing lost all its glamour and Shirley turned her thoughts to other aspirations for her other Secretariat descendants.
She continues to “Breed With a Mission” by selecting sires for her mares which carry Secretariat bloodlines to continue “Growing the Secretariat Family Tree” but has redirected her focus from racing to producing Therapy Horses.
Without the support, of our initial sponsors, the therapy program could not exist. The overall costs to maintain and care for each Therapy Horse averages approximately $4,000 a year.
Becoming a Sponsor for one of our therapy horses will help us buy premium feed and hay, cover standard veterinary care, farrier expenses, dental care and medication. All sponsorship donations are exclusively for the care and maintenance of our program horses. Corporations, Organizations and Individuals, are welcome to make pledges for the maintenance and care of a horse of your choice. For your generous donation, Glory Meadows Therapeutic Center will recognize you with a Sponsorship Certificate including a picture of your horse, history, and pedigree. In addition, we will display your certificate in a special area of our barn where our Secretariat descendants reside. We will also include your name and company on our website representing the horse you are sponsoring.
