JT Munnings ~ Has a foundation of championship bloodlines from which to build his own racing accreditations. His sire, Munnings (a direct descendant of La Troienne) earned $742,640 and was the fastest son of Breeder’s Cup Sprint winner Speightstown (Leading Active Sire worldwide who earned $1,258.256) and one of the fastest sons of Gone West. Saturday, November 16th was truly a magical day for Munnings when his progeny made every post a winner in the US with a Grade III, a quinella, a smart stakes winner and another impressive win at Woodbine.
His first crop progeny is leaving their mark on the scoreboard coming in 1st & 2nd place in the Bob Hope Grade III Stakes at Del Mar. No Problem (2 wins from 3 starts topping $80,000 earned) was his first Graded winner. Alright Alright, captured 2nd place with just a half a length separating the two colts in that Stakes race. Lake Sebago broke her maiden, scoring by 11 ¾ lengths at Laurel and claimed her first Black type success by winning the $100,000. Smart Halo Stakes. Among Munnings 19 progeny wins, Fifth Business scored first place by a neck over six furlongs at Woodbine.
Warrior King ~ Warrior King's pedigree speaks for itself. His sire, Majestic Warrior was “2013 Leading 2nd Crop Sire”. He was A.P. Indy’s (earned $2,979,815) fastest son and the only one to win a G1 under one mile. He won the $250,000. Hopeful Stakes (G1). He was out of G1 winning dam: Dream Supreme (earned $1,007,680) by Seeking the Gold (earned $2,307,000). His first juveniles began their racing careers in 2012. His first crop 2yo’s made $350,000.00 - $750,000. Etc. at the 2yo sales. His first crop G1 Kentucky Oaks winner, Princess Sylmar won four G1s and was the top seller at the 2014 Fasig Tipton Nov. sale fetching $3.1 million. The price was deserved as she was won The Kentucky Oaks, Coaching Club American Oaks, Beldame, and Alabama – no other horse in history had ever won this series, though many have tried, but failed. She beat Beholder, Close Hatches, and Royal Delta. Declan’s Warrior & Best Warrior (Japan) are G3 winners, plus stakes winner Ante Up Annie. Other winners: Shannon Nicole, Majestic Presence, Quiet Ruler, Nonna, and Lady Sabelia. Warrior King is currently training at Gulfstream Park, Florida, and will run his first race in January 2015.
